I was absolutely thrilled to see J. Crew mentioned several times in two different articles from the August issue of Vogue. On page 116 the article "The Desk Set" by Sally Singer previews four career women of "different ages" who share "what works for work". Three of the women note J. Crew pieces as part of their wardrobe staples. I have scanned the article for the JCA's! And then further into the issue is an article entitled "Cyclical Nature" under the Steal of the Month by Norman Jean Roy who discusses the "Old, as in the fifties full skirt is new again..." and a beautiful 21-year old LA based actress Riley Keough. She is beautifully styled in pieces from this era including a gorgeous wine colored J. Crew cardigan on page 222.
I just loved how in both articles different generations of women were represented all sharing pieces that have spanned different eras of clothing from the 50's to today, yet all iconic and classic. It was great to see J. Crew as part of the styling by choice of the women and in the second article to represent a most "glamorous" period. That is the beauty of J. Crew too in that it has been a classic wardrobe staple for so many of us and can be completely transcended.
