A Little "Crew"zy for Spring...
Spring has definitely sprung at J. Crew! I loved reading all the JCA's posts over at Alexis's blog jcrewaficionada.blogspot.com. I think everyone is ready for all the beauty that Spring has to offer and I was reenergized by the new J. Crew April 2010 catalog. I adored the flowers as I am an avid gardener. It wasn't that it was loaded with all that many new things but the styling was gorgeous and I loved all Jenna's Picks (especially the Adele romper and the Lieutenant jacket). I am all about mixing masculine and feminine and there is plenty of that in this catalog as well. Not new, but I did end up buying the Watercolor potpurri ames dress which was marked down to $79.99 and worth every penny. This dress fits true to size and while I was worried it would pucker at the chest (my very small one at that!), it actually lays quite nicely. I am working on a wish list and would love to hear your favorite Spring items...happy shopping!

Still Loving Liberty of London for Target
I have been stopping at various Target stores to see the items for the Liberty of London line and recently picked up the Pleated Dress Jumper and it is perfect for spring/summer and perfectly wearable for work with a little cardi or jacket. I was surprised with the overall quality at $29.99. I must say this is quite a steal for such a well-made garment. The predominantly red/navy print is very classic and the style is so feminine. The dress ties at the back. I sized up to a large and it fit perfectly for a regular 10/12. This may be a great option for Easter this year.
Of course I had to check out some shoes with this dress and found these darling Merona Esta slide wedge sandals in a cherry red. They were almost the price of the dress at $24.99 and well-worth it. They are really poppin' and so comfy! I will be wearing these all summer long.
Has anyone else found great Liberty items? I personally can only take a couple of these prints in my wardrobe, but I was really pleased with the offerings. It was much better than the Jean Paul Gaultier which is understandably far edgier, but I thought looked really cheap. I was a little disappointed on that front, had hoped to at list get a modern JPG top...but I couldn't see myself in any of the items.

Land's End Canvas - Recent Buys...
I have been on a Land's End Canvas pursuit for awhile. I recently purchased a couple items and thought I'd share a quick review. I absolutely love the Women's Canvas Cargo Pants. At $49 they were perfectly priced and made very well. In fact, I liked the weight and richness of color far better than J. Crew's ripstop cargos which are very thin. I purchased them in caramel and please note that they are really fitted. I typically wear a 10/12...but had to return for a 14 so there was a little relaxed look to them. They are adorable rolled up as the picture shows. A really nice, casual pant.
I also purchased the Heritage poplin shirt in gull grey. Definitely order a size up in this shirt as well as LE suggests. It is also a great quality shirt and competitively priced at $39.50. I will be picking up another color for sure.
I also have my eye on the Route 63 Canvas Leather Trim Bucket Tote @ $168 so if anyone has a review let me know.
I love the workmanship and the quality of Land's End. This line definitely adds a modern edge and quite honestly a nice distraction for me from J. Crew! I hope that LEC continues to expand their offerings. There are definitely some great staple pieces. I do also love how the LE & JC pieces compliment nicely together. If anyone has made some additional purchases please let me know!

Spotted Three Times...J. Crew in Town & Country Magazine March 2010
When I am traveling and stopping twice in every airport I get on complete magazine kicks. I love picking up Town & Country magazine, and although I am obviously not a subscriber - this March 2010 issue may have convinced me to do so. I absolutely adore their beautiful layouts. The March issue touts "Fabulous Spring Fashion" and guess what, J. Crew items are spotted three times. I love that these items can be placed casually and upscale as they have in T&C.
TheFlutter-flower clutch is featured in their "Garden of Delights" photo spread with tempting accessories including gorgeous clutches from the likes of Valentino, Fendi and Vera Wang! J. Crew's flutter flower is quite a steal at $128 compared to these high-end designers, but just as stunning. I think I may just purchase this as eye-candy.
J. Crew's Larkspur cardigan is also featured in T&C's "60 must have's for Spring". I love the three shades it comes in (misty aqua, blossom and honey). I cannot decide which color on this one. It appears as honey in the article and is pretty bright as they feature under "Bright Lights".
And yet another J. Crew spotting under the article and title page of "A Whiter Shade of Pale" where the Reese gladiator sandals ($88/above) are featured in metallic silver paired with a gorgeous white Halston stretch-jersey dress ($495).
I love some of J. Crew's statement pieces and apparently so did T&C. It is great that an $88 pair of sandals can be paired with a designer dress. They are classics.
